IDE Center recently has exposed its Innovation Driven thinking and way to the action that creates new generation of entrepreneurship. Since the establishment of initial objectives through physical center at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the Momentum has highlighted our hidden value and exposed it amongst Thai entrepreneurs which can be summarized as follows:

• University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce established Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship or called ‘IDE Center’ to centralize new generation entrepreneurs and to create innovation driven ecosystem in Thailand.
• IDE Center creates Thai Entrepreneurs to have a great fundamental mindset and capabilities in respects of innovation.
• The use of MIT’s equation; Innovation = Invention x Commercialization has been brought to apply to local context and enhance capability of entrepreneurs. The equation indicates that creating innovation is not all about new production but it should be able to define and give strong value to users at the same time.
• Sakdipon Juasrikul, Ph.D., the Center Director of IDE Center stated that the capability of SMEs business is limited, for example, the products/services cannot be repeatable or scalable in the market. The growth characteristics of SME businesses tends to be almost 180 degrees horizon line (straight line) which is different from the growth curve of Innovation Driven businesses.
• IDE Center found that entrepreneurs in Thailand has less innovation capacity, compare to entrepreneur capacity. Hence, we aims to create new S-Curve from the fundamental advantages including hospitality, logistics, food, and other creativity.
